Jeanna McEwen Director of Child Development Center

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Our goals for the Development Center includes helping children grow through Spiritual, Physical, Cognitive, Emotional and Social areas of their lives. We reach these goals by offering a wide variety of activities and curriculum to the children.

Spiritual: providing daily Bible songs, stories, verses to memorize and Bible thoughts throughout the day. We also provide a weekly chapel led by our church staff.

Physical: the children are provided with an opportunity to have outside play, as well as development of large gross motor skills on days of inclement weather.

Cognitive: We offer a curriculum for all age groups. Our Toddler B class and our K-2 class are currently using the High Reach Curriculum and our K-3 and K-4 classes are using the ABeka curriculum.

Emotional: Meeting the needs of a child with loving care is an important part of a child's day when separated from parents or guardians. Providing a safe, secure, and caring environment is important to the CDC staff as well as the church.

Social: The world is a big place to a small child, providing a small world environment through building blocks, home living, nature, puzzles, and books allows the child to socialize with peers in a group setting.
These goals are met daily in order to provide a development setting appropriate for preschool children.

Our Child Development Center is open from 6:00 A.M. - 5:45 PM... We have seven preschool classes and offer after-school care as well as summer/ holiday school-age care. For more information, tuition rates, and waiting list information contact 835-3486.
